It has long been discussed and dissected as to which country possess the best football supporters, without any unanimous conclusion. But fans of Braunschweig made a good case for supporters of the Bundesliga after their side’s 3-1 loss away to Hoffenheim. The loss on the last day of the season confirmed what was pretty much clear, Braunschweig will be heading back to the second division of German football (though a win would have got them into the relegation play offs).
To the amazement of players & management, Braunschweig supporters treated their players to an incredible atmosphere of appreciation, which left the entire squad overwhelmed. Take a look.
