Interestingly, Pogba is the only Manchester United player in this year's Ballon d'Or shortlist. The Frenchman received 9 points and finished 15th.

The best defensive midfielder in the world had a fabulous season, winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup with his country and the FA Cup with Chelsea. This season, Kante has redefined himself under Sarri so far.

Kante is one of the two Chelsea players in this shortlist and narrowly misses out from the top ten spots. The Frenchman received 24 points and has to be content with the No. 11 spot.
