#4 Harry Kane (England, Tottenham Hotspur)
Rank - 10
Kane won the World Cup Golden Boot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as he guided England to the fourth position in the tournament, scoring 6 goals in the process. In the league, he narrowly missed winning the Premier League Golden Boot, finishing with 30 goals from 37 games. This season, Kane has already scored 12 goals from 19 games in all competition.
The Englishman finished 10th, receiving 25 points from the voting process. Incidentally, he was the only Englishman among the shortlist this season.
#3 Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium, Manchester City)
Rank - 9
The Belgian has been the best midfielder in the Premier League for quite some time now, but last season, De Bruyne was a league above the others. He was the heart of the City side that bulldozed their way to the Premier League trophy with a record 100 points, and also won the League Cup. In the summer, De Bruyne took Belgium to the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
This season though, injuries have restricted him to just 4 appearances in all competitions and he is also yet to score a goal so far.
In the Ballon d'Or 2018, De Bruyne finished with 29 points and is ranked 9th.
