In an attempt to save his sinking career after being involved in a controversial bust up with manager Roberto Mancini, Mario Balotelli has been regularly visiting Manchester City chaplain, Rev Peter Horlock, and has also scheduled a meeting with the minister on Friday.
Reports have that the trouble started when the 22-year-old striker got into a physical altercation with winger Scott Sinclair during training which prompted Mancini, who is losing his patience with the Italian striker, to order him to get off the field.
But despite Mancini’s order, Balotelli was adamant and refused to leave, which in turn spurred the manager to push him towards the baseline and attempt to drag him off the field. The two men were caught on camera engaging in a shameful public bickering.
The problematic player soon fled from the scene but will possibly be fined for this show of contempt against Mancini who impelled the club into buying Balotelli.
This situation has seen the Italian striker to bank more on the chaplain as these two are often seen talking on the training ground.
Photographers reportedly used stepladders to photograph Balotelli’s third training ground spat in his City career of just 2 and a half years.
