Pogba worked the ball around well and placed it on a platter for Rashford, who broke the offside trap and had Ter Stegen at his mercy. But the United striker tried to be too clever, attempting to chip the ball where placement was required. It bounced off the upright and United missed a glorious opportunity.
However, it was not the only time that Rashford disappointed. The striker has recently been guilty of developing a selfish nature and it was evident in one counter-attack. United broke away in speed, and Rashford ran at the Barcelona defense, attacking quite a lot of attention.

Martial was through on the left and the pass would have been the correct choice. However, Rashford ignored the pass and tried another outrageous volley, which turned out to be a tame purr at Ter Stegen.
The Englishman had the chances to made a difference, but his immaturity and poor finishing cost United. Had he scored within the first 20 seconds, United would have found the perfect launch pad to go on a win the game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
