Barcelona reportedly agree deal to sign €100 million striker

What’s the rumour?

Barcelona have agreed a deal with Antoine Griezmann according to the highly reliable, Catalunya Ràdio. The Spanish source has claimed that Barca will activate his €100 million release clause in the summer.

The report also says that he could be the only 'big' signing of the summer at Camp Nou. But also went on to claim there will be a few exits with Denis Suarez being the first one heading out and Jasper Cillessen being the next one on the transfer list.

Griezmann has been killing it in La Liga for a long time now. He was brilliant at Real Sociedad and then went to another level after joining Atletico Madrid.

He was set to join Manchester United last summer but a transfer ban for Atletico changed his mind. He remained at the Spanish side and is now set for a move to Camp Nou.

The heart of the matter

Grizmann has a €100 million release clause in his contract that expires this summer. The Blaugrana are keen on taking full advantage of this release clause and sign him.

Catalunya Ràdio also claim that Barcelona have a deal agreed with Gremio for Arthur. The Brazilian is set to cost €30 million but will only be joining them in the summer of 2019.
