Barcelona and Bayern Munich are discussing a swap deal with <Liverpool target Alexis Sanchez-- and Toni Kroos, writes the Express.
Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb state that Barcelona proposed the swap to the Bundesliga champions, as they look to replace the departed Cesc Fabregas with a world-class midfielder.
Luis Enrique has allowed club representatives to travel to Brazil to open talks with Pep Guardiola over the sale of Chelsea and Manchester United target Kroos but may face competition from La Liga rivals Real Madrid.
Kroos’ contract at the Allianz Arena expires next summer, so Munich have been hard at work drawing up improved terms.
While Phillip Lahm and Thomas Muller have both recently agreed new contracts at the German outfit, the 24-year-old metronome has yet to reach a middle ground with the club and confirmed the stalling negotiations in a recent interview.
“With respect to the time before the World Cup, nothing at all has changed.
“If anything does happen, then you will all find out.”
Meanwhile, Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this transfer window.
