What's the story?
FC Barcelona fans enjoyed by taking former player Cristiano Ronaldo's name as Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid in the second leg of Copa Del Rey finals in the Santiago Bernabeu.
In case you didn't know...
Barcelona inflicted a crushing defeat to Los Blancos in their own den as they were defeated 3-0. Luis Suarez netted two goals from two shots with the help of Ousmane Dembele and Raphel Varane netted in an own goal to sent Barcelona to Copa Del Rey finals for sixth straight season.
Real Madrid failed to take the opportunity as they missed a couple of chances in the first half. Madrid players - mainly Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema- failed to capitalize on their chances and Marc-Andre ter Stegen played his part by keeping a clean sheet with some superb saves.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo shocked the world with a move to Juventus last summer after winning three consecutive UEFA Champions League with Los Blancos. The Portuguese talisman is Real Madrid's greatest goalscorer and is displaying his caliber now in the Serie A with 19 goals and 8 assists.
The heart of the matter
There is little doubt about the fact that Los Blancos miss their former talisman as their inefficiency in front of goal depicts.
Around 200 Barcelona fans who attended the stadium, took full opportunity at every chance they got and taunted their rivals with by making a song about Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Spanish media outlet, Marca, "Where is CR7?" was the chant of a handful of fans as they enjoyed every opportunity to mock their bitter rivals in their own den. Madridistas had no other option but to silence the visiting fans with whistles.
What's next?
Los Blancos will get a chance to avenge the defeat as they host Barcelona again this weekend but in the La Liga.
Irrespective of the result, Real Madrid faithful will be wondering what would have happened if those chances were taken by their all-time greatest goal scorer.
