Istanbul, July 25 (IANS) Turkish football club Besiktas is seeking the services of Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan on loan for one season, according to news reports on Monday.
Turkish sports daily Fanatik reported that the Istanbul club is ready to sign Turan in the face of its rival Galatasaray, where the midfielder played before going to Spain.
The daily reported recently that Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing the Turkey captain, making use of the fact that he has not yet settled in the Catalan club, according to Efe.
Turan, 29, joined Barcelona last summer for 34 million euros ($37.3 million) after four seasons with Atletico Madrid.
