According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Barcelona may have paid more than 57 Million for signing Neymar from Santos in the last transfer window.
The Madrid based daily reports that Barcelona have paid a fee around €95 million which have been broken down as follows-
- €40 million to the Neymar family.
- €17 million to Santos,
- €7.9 million for rights to three further young Santos players,
- €9 million for two friendly games between the clubs,
- €8.5 million in commission to Neymar senior,
- €2.6 million in other agents’ fees
- €10 million signing-on bonus of
Reportedly, there were some direct payments to the father of Neymar who was also his agent during his transfers were listed as “scouting a youth talent”.
Even though Neymar has come out and said that there was ‘nothing illegal’ about the deal but these type of news have been coming since the Brazilian winger signed for the Catalonia based club.
If the above news is true, Neymar could well be the most expensive player in the history of club football as Cristiano’s transfer fees was reportedly around €94 Million, Gareth Bale was for €91 Million according to Real Madrid.
