Atletico Madrid President hits back at Barcelona
According to a report from the Express, Atletico Madrid President, Gil Marin, has expressed his anger over Barcelona's continuous pursuit on Antoine Griezmann through the summer.
He also raised the issue of extracting compensation from the Catalan club for their prodding for the Frenchman throughout the season.
“We're fed up with Barcelona's attitude. That a president and a player speak the way they've done about the future of a player with an existing contract and just a few days before a European final shows an absolute lack of respect towards Atletico Madrid and the club's fan," he said.
“I also told [Bartomeu] that in the chance the player exercises his right to nullify his contract due to their pressure throughout the season, that Atletico Madrid would demand Barcelona compensation for their inappropriate behavior," added Marin.
Club try to tie down Samuel Umtiti amidst interest from United

However, Barcelona President, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has revealed that he is trying everything possible to keep the 24-year-old at Camp Nou for the next season.
Speaking on Umtiti’s future, he told RAC1 radio station: "Umtiti has a contract. We are talking with him to renew it. We try to maintain a salary structure that has a certain harmony. We will try to reach an agreement because he has had a good season."
