No surprise, there has been very little activity in the January transfer window and with about two days left, football fans across the globe will expect some last ditch offers which might spring a surprise late on when the window slams shut early February morning. Juan Mata’s transfer toManchester United from Chelsea has so far been the talking point in the past few days, while Yohan Cabaye too is on his way to French side Paris St’ Germain as Newcastle look to snap upLuke De Jong. Arsenal have been linked to a mega offer to land Julian Draxler from Schalke as Liverpool continue to search for that elusive which would land them in a Champions League spot.
However, with very little time left and about seventy two hours to go till the deadline day ends, we here at Soccersouls provide you four players who could be real bargains if they are snapped up in the very little time left.
(Player Values taken from transfermarkt)
Karl Darlow (Nottingham Forest):
Simon Mignolet’s form of late has been a real concern for Brendan Rodgers and moreover with Brad Jones who isn’t consistent too and is not able to push Mignolet off the number one position, the Belgian is perhaps taking his place for granted, which is always a dangerous sign given Liverpool are fighting for a Champions League spot. This is where Nottingham Forest’s Karl Darlow, who has made immense strides in the second tier of English Football will be a great buy.
Market Value: €1 Million
Alessandro Florenzi (Roma):
If you follow Italian Serie A closely, you would appreciate why this twenty year old Italian is on the list. Together with Lorenzo Insigne, he will be in the heart of Italy’s next generation superstars who will take the world by surprise. Very rarely do we find players from Italy who are as versatile as Florenzi, the Roma man who can play as a box to box midfielder, a second striker and on either wings. His technical abilities are absolutely mesmerising, his dazzling dribbles and shots from distance are a treat to watch. Roma Manager Rudi Garcia might be tempted to send him on loan to a lesser Premier League club, where he can hone his skills and get more game time till summer.
Market Value: €12 Million
Sergio Canales (Valencia):
This twenty two year old too features on our list thanks to his versatility. He possesses an excellent left foot has good acceleration, and can play wide on either side or behind a lone striker and more importantly can hit the back of the net. A loan move to Fulham has been mooted by the Rumour Mills as Valencia look to offer the player who has had limited game time and is unwanted by new Valencia manager Juan Antonio Pizzi. Though it’s heartbreaking to consider that a player of Canales’ ability is struggling to find his place at the top level, a loan deal will do him a world of good.
Market Value: €5 Million
