Bayer Leverkusen announced on their official website that they have signed former Nurnberg striker, Josip Drmic for an undisclosed fee. The striker was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal but decided to continue his career in Germany.
The 21 year old scored 17 goals in 33 appearances for Nurnberg last season but despite his efforts the club were relegated.
He has signed a 5 year contract with Bayer Leverkusen to the delight of Managing Director, Michael Schade who said “With this commitment, we have set a clear sign of our future direction. Josip Drmic has proved his class last year in the Bundesliga – he is one of the outstanding goalscorers in the Bundesliga.
