#1 Relentless attack
By the time Bayern scored the first goal of the game, they had 80% possession, had attempted 303 passes with 87% accuracy and had registered 13 shots, 3 of which had been on target. They had also won 5 corners. The Bavarians had threatened to score long before Kingsley Coman’s diving header from an Ivan Perisic cross gave them the lead.
The goal only increased the hunger and confidence of the Bayern side and they continued to strive harder to increase the lead. No matter how many times they were thwarted by the away side, the Bavarians were relentless in their pursuit of the second goal.
Lewandowski finally took advantage of a scramble in the 6-yard box to double the lead for his team in the 80th minute. Thiago then brilliantly set up Thomas Muller in the 91st minute who put Bayern 3-0 up. Because the Bundesliga side continuously attacked the visitors, they were rewarded with a well-deserved win.
