What's the rumour?
Real Madrid have been extremely quiet in the recent transfer window, but now latest reports in Spanish daily Marca claim that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is dreaming of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Polish frontman has been in fine form for Die Roten this season and he could definitely prove to be an upgrade on Karim Benzema.
The report also goes on to state that Lewandowski's agent, Cezary Kucharski, is well known at Real Madrid and the agent might well initiate talks to complete the transfer of his client to La Liga.
In case you didn't know...
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the premier strikers in world football with his consistent performances in the Bundesliga. Having already scored 18 goals this campaign for the Bavarian giants, Lewandowski is in prime form and could prove to be a perfect signing for the All Whites.
With the report stating that Lewandowski is keen on a move to Madrid, the move could well come to fruition in the summer transfer window.

The heart of the matter
The fearsome trio of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have struggled form and goals this season. With Lewandowski showing no signs of slowing down, Madrid might well be tempted to sign the Bayern Munich frontman.
Los Blancos have been linked to plenty of high profile names like Harry Kane and Eden Hazard in the recent past and it will be interesting to see what their transfer strategy will be in the summer transfer window.
Rumour rating/probability
6/10
Lewandowski might have his mind set on a move to Real Madrid, but Bayern will be reluctant to sell a player who is so crucial to them. Also, with Harry Kane being linked, Madrid might just go in for the Premier League marksman ahead of the Polish striker.

Author's take
In my opinion, Lewandowski will be perfectly suited to Real Madrid's style of play. He will be a definite upgrade on the struggling Karim Benzema and Los Blancos should do everything in their power to sign the Bayern Munich superstar.
