Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos has completed his move to UEFA Champions League winner Real Madrid, both the clubs have confirmed.
The 24-year-old has signed a six-year contract with the Spanish club, and will be presented today at the Royal Box of Santiago Bernabeu, reported Real Madrid’s official website.
The transfer fee agreed between both the clubs have not been revealed yet.
Speaking to Bayern Munich’s official website, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the club’s CEO said, “We thank Toni Kroos for his time in Munich. We have achieved great success with him. We wish him and his family all the best in Madrid."
Kroos will reportedly be earning £5.3m a year after tax, and his much anticipated move to the Spanish capital came after his brilliant performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
His contract had only a year left, so a transfer fee of around €25-30 million could have been enough for the Bundesliga champions to let go off their star.
