Bayern Munich playmaker Toni Kroos is determined to make a move to English Premier League side Manchester United and has made it clear to his team-mates at Bayern Munich and German National team, reports Mirror.
Kroos is yet to sign a new contract with his current club as all negotiations regarding his contract have been stalled. Manchester United, who have been targeting the 24-year old midfielder since January, are now willing to offer Kroos £200,000-a-week.
In addition to that, Spanish club Real Madrid have now joined the race reportedly, which has created a certain sense of urgency at Old Trafford as they will be looking to lose yet another player in the transfer market.
Kroos made a controversial statement in a post-match interview while talking to Sky Germany pundit and former footballer Jan Aage Fjortoft after Bayern Munich’s Champions League tie with Manchester United after he was asked about his experience at playing in the Old Trafford.
“Liked it a lot. Great atmosphere,” said Kroos. When asked whether he would like to play here more often, Kroos left it for the future to decide.
“I will decide in the future.”
