Mind games have already started ahead of the big game where Arsenal host the defending champions Bayern Munich at Emirates stadium on Wednesday.
Jerome Boateng seems to be worried that Arsenal fans will create an electrifying atmosphere that will make life harder for the Bavarians. He also insisted that Mesut Ozil will be the key man for the gunners.
He said,
“Mesut Özil is the key player of Arsenal. We’ll have to be careful, because the fans will push them big time. We will (have to) demonstrate in the field to be stronger.”
In another interview, he said,
“We must keep their strikers away from us. We can’t let them play like they want to play, we can’t give them time. We need to attack them because they are so good at passing the ball, very dangerous, and we need to keep it up for 90 minutes, concentrate and play our game.”
Last time when these two teams met, Arsenal won the away game at Alliance Arena but still Bayern qualified to the next round based on away goals and eventually went on to win the Europe’s elite club football tournament.
