However, after a steady first season, things have deteriorated for the Columbian who has been warned by his manager about his attitude stating that he is fighting for his future at the club.
The unstable situation of James raised alarm bells across Europe with Arsenal among the few clubs wanting to sign him on loan for the rest of the season.
Moreover, Rodriguez's father confirmed interest from England for the 27-year-old who is into his last six months of the loan period at Bayern. He said -
"I don't have news about it, but there may be offers based on those rumors coming from England.
"He is calm and he feels that he's at a good level again and that he's physically strong.
"That gives us a perspective that he is happy, motivated and working well, as he is eager to achieve new success."
Bayern paid about £11.5m to loan Rodriguez and have an option to make it permanent for £39.5m in the summer, but the deal seems unlikely given his current state at the club.

#2 Bayern and Liverpool would have to pay £87m for Timo Werner
Bundesliga expert, Raphael Honigstein believes that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich would have to shell out £87m if they want to sign RB Leipzig forward, Timo Werner next summer.
The German International is one of Bundesliga brightest young talents who has been in excellent goalscoring form this season as well.
Timo could also play as a left winger which makes him an ideal replacement for the departing Frank Ribery at Bayern.
