Belgium unveil their new shirt with a nice advertisement

It’s a World Cup year, and football fans worldwide (despite the preference for domestic football) are excited for the highlight event this summer in Brazil. With just over 3 months left for the big spectacle, these next few months leading up to the competition are characterised by excitement surrounding the big clashes, the probable squads and the kit designs that one will get to witness at the World Cup.

Kit manufacturing giants Nike & Adidias have revealed nearly all their kit designs for their respective clients to be worn at the World Cup.

Swiss sports apparel company, Burrda, were entrusted with the task of creating Belgium’s kit for the World Cup. Belgium, as we all know, have a talented young squad of individuals, proclaimed by many as the dark horses for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Their young players have been setting the benchmark over the past 3-4 years leading up to the tournament, and earlier today, the Belgian Red Devils unveiled their kit(s) via a YouTube video.

Using the video sharing platform as a medium of promotion, the Royal Belgian Football Association along with Burrda made a nice little video advert for the unveiling.

The advert features stars such as Spurs’ Jan Verthongen & Arsenal’s Thomas Vermealen while Eden Hazard and Maruoane Fellaini make appearances in cartoon form. It’s a decent little ad without being overly spectacular. A cost-effective method of creating excitement for the actual product which is proving to be a huge hit already among fans.
