New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS) I-League champions Bengaluru FC's footballers Alwyn George and Malsawmzuala on Thursday joined franchise Delhi Dynamos for the remainder of the ongoing Indian Super Legue (ISL).
The midfield duo missed the first half of the ISL due to their commitments for their parent club Bengaluru FC, who made history by becoming the first Indian club to enter the final of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), getting beaten 0-1 in the title clash by Iraq's Air Force Club on November 5.
They joined Delhi on loan and will stay with them till December 18 should they reach the final, according to a release.
"Delhi Dynamos FC, the only Hero Indian Super League club representing the North of India, are delighted to welcome back midfielders Alwyn George and Malsawmzuala to the Lions fold for the rest of the season in the 2016 Hero Indian Super League," a Delhi statement said.
Attacking midfielder George is expected to add greater creativity to Delhi's well-functioning midfield while youngster Malsawmzuala could provide more energy and enthusiasm.
Delhi are presently heading the league standings winning three consecutive matches with 16 points from nine matches.
