Juventus manager Beppe Marotta has warned Manchester United that the Old Trafford club is running the risk of losing out on Adnan Januzaj by not renewing his contract that expires at the end of the season.
The Turin boss compared the situation to that of France international Paul Pogba, who in similar circumstances left the Red Devils for Juve in the summer of 2012. Last weekend, Januzaj netted twice on his first full debut for the Premier League champions against Sunderland to help his team register a 2-1 victory.
Marotta has been quoted as saying by Tuttosport,” If they fear another case like Pogba’s then they are right. It’s difficult to understand how we can reach a stage eight months prior to the contract expiring without seeing a renewal. Januzaj is a player showing big promise. He is a player of great quality.”
The 18-year-old immensely talented youngster is also in the radar of Manchester City and Juventus.
