Berlin, Sep 24 (IANS): Former Netherlands national football coach Bert van Marwijk has taken over as manager at struggling Bundesliga side Hamburg on a two-year deal, following the dismissal of Thorsten Fink six days ago, reports Xinhua.

“We are pleased that we were able to engage with Bert van Marwijk a coach for Hamburg, who has an extensive experience and demonstrated his expertise in numerous cases,” Hamburg director of sport Oliver Kreutzer said.
The 61-year-old Dutchman faces a challenging task, as the ‘Rothosen’ are in a relegation battle with just one win, one draw and four losses in six matches.
