The wide areas are the real strengths in this XI and thus I am forced to leave out many top talents. Due to this, this list will be rounded off with a potential bench without which there cannot be justice done to this XI.

Having said that, there is no way that I could leave out Christian Pulisic who is by far the best United States player at the moment and quite possibly the best CONCACAF player as well. It is worth remembering that Pulisic is still just 20 as he seems to have been around for a long time. Pulisic is a quick and tricky winger who operates with guile and is known to beat his marker regularly.

He has already scored 10 goals in 25 caps for the national side. He has tremendous experience having made 127 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

Left Wing - Hirving Lozano (Mexico)

Mexico v Chile - International Friendly
Mexico v Chile - International Friendly

This was one of the toughest choices as I had two options, both equally exciting, to pick from. The toss-up was between Eredivisie star Hirving Lozano and Jamaican wonder Leon Bailey. However, Lozano just about edged out Bailey due to slightly better performances at club level.

Lozano is a feisty and energetic left winger who earned great plaudits in Mexico with Pachuca and has been playing even better since joining PSV in 2017. He has scored 40 and assisted 23 in 74 appearances for the Dutch giants.

At the age of 23, he has already made his mark on the international level, scoring 9 and assisting 4 in 35 caps. He also played brilliantly in the 2018 FIFA World Cup scoring against Germany. His dynamic and all action approach would prove to be extremely useful in this side.

Centre-Forward - Raul Jimenez (Mexico)

Raul Jimenez is the first Premier League player in this XI, with Pulisic yet to actually start playing for Chelsea. The striker earned his reputation playing for Club America at a young age where he scored 31 goals and assisted 16 in 83 appearances. However, he was not particularly prolific for either Atletico Madrid or Benfica.

He was sent out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 2018-19 Premier League season where he scored 17 in 44 appearances and was considered to be among the best strikers in the league. The Mexican's all-round play and his ability to lead the line has been particularly impressive. His performances prompted Wolves to dish out about €35 million to sign him permanently from Benfica.

The tall center-forward has 71 caps to his name and has found the net 16 times. Jimenez is finally making a mark on the world footballing stage and is now one of the first names on the Mexico team sheet. He is also keeping out his fellow countryman Javier Hernandez from making this XI.

Bench: GK - Guillermo Ochoa (Mexico), RB - DeAndre Yedlin (USA), CB - Wes Morgan (Jamaica), CM - Rodolfo Pizzaro (Mexico), CM - Hector Herrera (Mexico), LW - Leon Bailey (Jamaica), CF - Javier Hernandez (Mexico).
