There is a lot of competition for attacking berths in Chelsea's starting lineup. Although Thomas Tuchel rotates his players a fair bit, it's obvious now that Mason Mount is perhaps the best choice for the side in attacking midfield.

The 22-year-old is a tenacious presence behind the attackers. In addition to his playmaking qualities and ability to pop up in dangerous positions to score goals, his defensive contributions are also pretty commendable.

Mount has scored a handful of sensational goals this season. He has netted six times and provided four assists in just 13 Premier League appearances this term. He had just six goals and five assists in 36 appearances in the 2020-21 season. The improvement is there for all to see.

#2 Liverpool - Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah just might be the most in-form player in the world right now. He has been in sublime form for Liverpool in all competitions this term and they are cruising because of the Egyptian's lavish contributions.

The 29-year-old has been phenomenal for Liverpool in recent seasons but he has been able to turn it up a notch this term. Salah's close control has become even better and his shooting ability continues to be exemplary.

He has scored quite a few spectacular goals already this season, which includes some wonderful solo efforts. Salah has scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in just 16 Premier League appearances this term and is currently well on course to win the Golden Boot.

#1 Manchester City - Bernardo Silva

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City continue to play a scintillating brand of football. Pep Guardiola's squad is deep and he has some wonderful technicians on his side. This Manchester City side are at the top of the Premier League table without having an out-and-out striker.

Credit goes to the technically proficient customers who trawl the midfield realms and the final third, chief of which is a Portuguese playmaker by the name of Bernardo Silva. The 27-year-old had suffered from a dip in form in the 2020-21 season and had reportedly come close to leaving the club.

However, he has turned his fortunes around this season and has arguably been the Cityzens' best player so far. The Portuguese international has looked confident on the ball and his finishing has improved greatly as well.

He can also play anywhere across midfield and the frontline which makes him a very dynamic and potent weapon. Silva has scored seven goals and provided an assist in 15 Premier League appearances so far this season.
