MIDFIELDERS:
Marouane Fellaini (CM)
Marouane Fellaini has done a brilliant job in the centre of midfield for United this season. Even though he came on for a few minutes in the latter half of the game against Young Boys, the Belgian showed how he can hold up play and make life smoother for United’s forward line.
Paul Pogba (CM)
Fresh from the brace he scored against Young Boys in the Champions League after donning the captain’s armband, Paul Pogba will be looking to recreate the same magic at Old Trafford against Wolves on Saturday. There is no doubt that he has the potential to do so.
Fred (CM)
Nemanja Matic’s suspension should give the Brazilian the chance to stake his claim in the starting XI after losing his place to Fellaini in the last couple of games. Fred is strong on the ball and can make pressing runs towards the attacking third. He can prove to be the perfect foil for Pogba.
Anthony Martial (LM)
After scoring a goal and creating a host of chances against Young Boys, Tony Martial deserves another chance on the left wing of United’s attack. He is a good passer and can score some beautifully orchestrated goals.
Juan Mata (RM)
Marcus Rashford’s unimpressive showing against Young Boys should mean that Juan Mata will get a go on the right wing of United’s attack. Mata’s only deficiencies are his inability to cross the ball well and that sometimes he comes in too inside the midfield to make use of the width on offer.
FORWARD:
Romelu Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku will start as the striker against Wolves on Saturday. He has scored four goals in the Premier League so far and would like to continue his fine run.
