The last few days have seen excitement levels amongst Liverpool fans rise sharply. After their thumping win over Arsenal last Sunday, the Reds had made a formal announcement about the acquisition of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig and as the transfer window closure approached, Twitter was filled with reactions from the club's fans.
Here are the best reactions from Liverpool fans on deadline day.
The deadline day began for the Reds with the club announcing the arrival of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal and the news divided opinions.
While the fans still debate on his utility, we are stunned by the lack of humour present at the club.
This would have been the best unveiling of them all.
Of course, the transfer also made "The Ox" yet another former Southampton player to join the Reds.
That life altering dilemma that comes with football transfers.
Oh Ox, what have you done?
With Oxlade-Chamberlain done and dusted, Liverpool fans waited several hours in anticipation of an announcement involving Virgil Van Dijk. And with time on their hands, it is most likely that they were busy tracking Van Dijk yet again.
But in the end, all their tracking and tapping (Oops Liverpool did that, not their fans) proved futile as the big burly Dutchman was not allowed to part ways with the Liverpool academy. While Liverpool fans had a meltdown, somewhere Dejan Lovren heaved huge sigh of relief.
As if the Van Dijk saga that ran for over 3 months without any results was not enough, things went from bad to worse as Liverpool were also involved in a late battle to sign Thomas Lemar. Needless to say, it was another futile attempts.
To further rub salt in our wounds (Yes, I like to laugh at my own sorry state at times), Lemar then scored a brace for France against The Netherlands, one of which was an absolute beauty.
