With the new footballing season only about a month away, all the footballing clubs have been releasing their new kits for the new season. Kits are very close to ther hearts of the fans. Get the design wrong and you can have a huge backlash on your hands.
With Manchester United bagging a 75 million pound a year deal, we can fully understand the enormisity that kits play in today’s world. Hence a lot of effort is put in to the launch of the new kit with everyone trying to top others in creativity.
But Blackburn Rovers seem to have outdone themselves with the launch of their own kit. While some teams recently launched their kit on the river Thames amongst heavy lights and fanfare, other have taken playing pranks on their managers and players in this regard.
But Blackburn tried outshine them all, but managed to only burn themselves. The ad features a renowned Rovers super fan, Alan "Birdy" Birkbeck, who ends up showing way too much skin for an elderly person and then ends up throwing his verdict straight at you, like a British Uncle Sam.
It's horrible and cringeworthy. What were you thinking Blackburn Rovers?
