Bolivia and Panama face off at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando on Monday (July 1) in the 22nd game of the 2024 Copa America in Orlando. La Verde have endured a difficult campaign and are on the verge of an exit.
Bolivia kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to the USMNT, failing to register a shot on target. They then suffered a 5-0 dismantling against Uruguay in their second game and must beat Panama and hope that the USNMT lose to Uruguay to retain hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals.
Panama, meanwhile, lost 3-1 to Uruguay in their group opener last week, finding themselves three goals down before Michael Murillo scored a late consolation.
Los Canaleros, though, returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over the USMNT in a tense clash at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Goals from Cesar Blackman and Jose Fajardo helped Panama overturn a one-goal deficit against their 10-man opponents before going down to 10 men themselves following a late red card to Adalberto Carrasquilla.
The Central American nation will advance to the knockouts with a win if Uruguay avoid defeat to the USMNT, while a draw could also suffice.
Bolivia vs Panama Head-to-Head
There have been eight meetings between the two nations. Bolivia have won five and lost three.
The two sides last faced off in a friendly in August, which Los Canaleros won 2-1 via a brace from Kasiher Lenis.
