#3 Controversial decisions by referee Felix Zwayer leave Borussia Dortmund fuming
Wherever Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund clash, match officials are always under scrutiny. While Felix Zwayer had to weigh in on a lot of 50-50 calls during the game, the home fans felt most of them benefited the visitors.
Marco Reus was challenged by Lucas Hernandez in the second half, and fell inside the box. While it looked like a clear penalty at first look, Zwayer did not go to the VAR for review, despite replays showing clear contact between the two players.
He consulted the VAR for a potential handball on Hummels, which looked like a soft penalty. Bayern Munich scored from the spot, courtesy Lewandowski.
#2 Jude Bellingham continues to display a lot of promise
Jude Bellingham has been in good touch in the final third this season. He was one of the hosts' best players against Bayern Munich. He had two key passes, and was also at the heart of both Dortmund goals against Bayern Munich.
He has two goals and five assists to his name, more than any other Dortmund player in the Bundesliga this season. He provided a good account of himself, but needs to be careful about criticising referees.
#1 Robert Lewandowski has a record-breaking outing for Bayern Munich
Robert Lewandowski has been a big game player, dominating the goalscoring charts in the German top flight. His goalscoring exploits with Bayern Munich have brought him many laurels. With a match-winning brace against Borussia Dortmund, he made history again.
In his 350th game for Bayern Munich, Lewandowski equalled Klaus Fischer's record of 117 away goals in the Bundesliga. He will look to claim the record outright when Bayern Munich take on Mainz next weekend.
The brace also marked the eighth time he managed to score at least twice against Borussia Dortmund. That is more than what any player has managed against a single opponent in the Bundesliga.
