Left Winger: Ousmane Dembele
Franck Ribery may not have suffered from any loss of ability with age, but he has suffered from numerous injuries. Hence, the left wing is dominated by the new teenage sensation, Ousmane Dembele.
The French youngster has scored 2 decisive goals and created a total of 14 chances for his Borussia Dortmund side. Dembele’s two-footedness is his biggest strength as he has completed 35 takeons so far – the highest in the league.
It would be interesting to see how Dortmund manage to keep him as the biggest clubs in the world will be after him in no time.
Right Wing: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
The right wing is taken by the Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Although he plays as a striker, he has often played on the right wing and can be a pain for defenders with his searing pace.
He is a constant goal threat with his speed, having scored 11 goals in the league so far. Having scored 25 goals in the league last season, he seems like a man on a mission under Tuchel.
Bayern’s Robben has been struggling with injuries and while Emre Mor has been promising, he has failed to consistently produce a final product. Pulisic has been BVB’s first choice on the right wing but the American youngster has a long way to go before being considered amongst the bigwigs.
Striker: Robert Lewandowski
The striker position is filled by the Polish target man, Robert Lewandowski. The former Dortmund has scored 7 goals this season, with many of them being match winning ones.
Lewandowski settled into the Bayern Munich within weeks after joining and has been scoring at an incredible rate.
The striker’s scoring rate is only matched by a few other strikers like Suarez and Aguero and his hold up play is world class. His career graph is consistently upwards ever since his move to Klopp’s BVB team 6 years ago. With nearly 200 goals in the last 7 seasons, he can walk into almost any team in the world.
Substitutes: Roman Burki (GK), Sokratis, Javi Martinez, Castro, Renato Sanches, Costa, Robben.
