The arrival of Jurgen Klopp from FSV Mainz 05 in 2008 had made Borussia Dortmund a permanent title contender for the Bundesliga title and also became one of Europe’s best teams. But this season, the tables have turned with Dortmund reeling at the bottom of the German League, having just won three games out of their 13 fixtures and collecting 11 mere points in their campaign. Bayern Munich lead the Bundesliga with an unbeaten spree till now.

However, the Black and Yellow clan have done better int he Champions League, wherein they have topped the Arsenal group. But the Dortmund fans wish their team to do better than their current position in the league because their side had finished in the top two in each of their last four seasons.

It is reported by The Guardian that the players acknowledged the goodwill of their fans, who are still willing to encourage the team despite their failure in the league, by going behind the bar at the Christmas party and offering pints for more than 1,000 fans who attended the bash.

The club captain Roman Weidenfeller led his teammates to the back of the bar, with the club stars Mats Hummels, IIkay Gundogan, Marco Reus and Nevan Subotic all pouring drinks to the fans. The footballers also obliged their supporters by indulging in a long autograph session.

The team also visited a childrens hospital and distributed goodies to them.
