Borussia Dortmund have officially signed Adrian Ramos on a four year deal and he will join the club this summer.
The 28-year-old striker currently plays for Bundesliga club Hertha BSC and has scored 32 goals in 89 games in the League. This season, he has played 29 games and was involved in 23 goals.
The Colombia international is the third highest goalscorer this season with 16 goals so far, behind Mario Mandzukic and Robert Lewandowski (17 goals).
BVB Sporting Director Michael Zorc said on Dortmund’s official website, “Adrian Ramos is an excellent footballer and one of the top strikers in Germany. He fits perfectly the profile of player we want at Borussia Dortmund.”
The transfer fee was not disclosed by either club.
Ramos revealed the main aim of joining Dortmund to Hertha’s website – to play in the Champions League.
“It was my wish to take the next step in my career and play in the Champions League,” Ramos told the Hertha website. “Everyone who knows me knows that I will give it all in the remaining games for Hertha.”
