AFC Bournemouth v Manchester United - Premier League
The reigning Golden Glove winner has been unlucky this season. David De Gea has registered only 1 clean sheet so far this season and you can hardly blame him for the goals that have gone in. In fact, had it not been for De Gea, United would probably been in deeper waters, as was evident against Bournemouth.

De Gea was called into action as early as the 4th minute, saving Fraser’s low shot with his legs to deny Bournemouth an early lead. It would be the first of many saves he had to make to keep United in the game, however, there was nothing he could do in the 11th minute when poor defending allowed Wilson to score. Bournemouth tried to increase the lead, but De Gea stood strong and ensured that United were not too far away from a comeback. The Spaniard made a crucial save just before the break, with the game poised at 1-1.
Early in the second half, De Gea brilliantly denied a clever flick from Brooks and in the 81st minute, stopped the Welshman again. Ultimately, his heroics were crucial for United to complete the comeback and win the game.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.

Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
