Brazil faced off against Austria in a friendly game on Tuesday night and came out winners with a narrow 2-1 scoreline.
Dunga and his team came on the back of an emphatic 4-0 victory against Turkey last Saturday. Neymar, who starred against the Turks was included in the starting XI while Thiago Silva, who was recently in the news over captaincy issues, featured on the bench. David Luiz and Miranda paired up at the back once again before the latter was substituted early in the first half for Silva.
After a goalless first half, Luiz opened the scoring for the Selecao in the 63rd minute by heading the ball into the left corner. The lead got cancelled in the 75th minute as Aleksandar Dragovic equalised from the penalty spot.
However, Brazil went ahead for the second time in the final minutes of the game as substitute Roberto Firmino scored with a terrific long range effort into the top corner. The 23-year-old midfielder was one of the bright young talents out there and looked promising on the pitch.
Here are the goals from the match.
Goal 1: Brazil 1-0 Austria – Luiz
Goal 2: Brazil 1-1 Austria – Dragovic
Goal 3: Brazil 2-1 Austria – Firmino
