Chelsea defender Ashley Cole is in a big mess after his tweet:
This is after the defender and Chelsea were criticised, as Cole’s testimony in the John Terry hearing appeared to be altered to include the word ‘black’. In other words, Cole allegedly changed his statements to support Terry’s defence, and came across as an unreliable witness.
In the latest document released by the FA commission providing the reasons behind John Terry’s 4-match ban and £220,000 fine for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, the Chelsea left-back’s evidence comes under severe scrutiny.
Only time will tell how damaging this tweet could be for Cole. The FA has a strict policy as far as player tweets are concerned, and it is possible Cole could face a monetary fine for his recent twitter activity.
