The action continues in round nine of the English Premier League as Brentford and Ipswich Town go head-to-head on Saturday. Kieran McKenna’s men, who have failed to win their last four visits to the Gtech Community Stadium, will be looking to end this poor run and secure their first win of the campaign.
Brentford were sent back down to earth last Saturday when they fell to a 2-1 loss against Manchester United after giving up their lead in the second half at Old Trafford.
This followed an emphatic 5-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on October 5, a result which saw the Bees’ three-game winless run in the league come to an end.
Brentford have picked up three wins and one draw from their eight Premier League matches so far to collect 10 points and sit 13th in the league table.
Ipswich Town, on the other hand, failed to get up and running in the English top flight as they suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Everton at the Portman Road Stadium.
Having gained promotion from the Championship last term, McKenna’s men have failed to win their eight league matches this season, losing four and claiming four draws so far.
With four points from the first 24 available, Ipswich Town are 17th in the Premier League standings but sit above Wolves, Southampton and Crystal Palace.
