Belgian superstar Romelu Lukaku has begun yet another season with Everton on a positive note as he continues to find the back of the net at frequent intervals to help his side climb up unexpectedly in the league table.
He has already scored 6 goals in the 8 games he has appeared in apart from assisting 2 more goals. Given his performances since breaking into the top flight, it comes as no surprise that a number of elite clubs across Europe have been linked with him in the past. The latest club to be extensively linked with the big burly striker is Bayern Munich as Carlo Ancelotti, the club’s manager has singled out Lukaku as a crucial target for the club in the upcoming windows.

If reports from The Sun are to be believed Bayern Munich have already set aside a Bundesliga record kitty of £65 million to bring the 23-year-old to the Allianz Arena and given the fees involved, it remains to be seen if Ronald Koeman and Everton can overlook the financial benefits involved in the deal.
The former Anderlecht striker, who joined Chelsea in 2011 on the back of an impressive time with the Belgian club has continued to torment defenders during his time in the league, using his pace, power and skill on the ball to score goals by the bagful season after season.
Though he did not get the requisite time at his parent club Chelsea during the 3 years, the loan moves first to West Brom and subsequently with Everton ensured that his stock as one of the brightest young strikers in the world remained intact. He made an instant impact with both the clubs and established himself as their first-choice striker, scoring a total of 33 goals in 71 appearances and playing a crucial role in several others during his loan tenures at the aforementioned clubs.
The Toffees were more than impressed with his abilities in front of the goal and shelled up a club-record fee of £28 million to bring him permanently to Goodison Park and the move has paid rich dividends for the player as his stature as a striker has grown during the last 2 years.

The fact that he has more goals at the age of 23 than the likes of Michael Owen, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez speaks volumes about his abilities as a striker and Bayern Munich, who are on the lookout for a prolific striker to add to the rich legacy of the club would be well served if they land the player.
Lukaku has made clear his intentions to play in the Champions League in the past and while Everton, in the long run, might help him achieve his dream, it may come too little too late and the move away from Goodison Park makes perfect sense for the prolific superstar.
However, given the inflated transfer markets that we have been witness to over recent years, it remains to be seen if Bayern Munich’s kitty would suffice to land the player, especially with a number of other European heavyweights in the form of Manchester United and Real Madrid also believed to be in the fray for the player.
