Canada has been a part of the Women's World Cup since the 1995 edition of this prestigious tournament. The two times CONCAF Gold Cup winners would be surely looking forward to this years Womens World Cup.
This year Canada has been placed in Group E alongside Cameroon, New Zealand and Netherlands. For Canada to qualify for the Round Of 16, they’ll have to be in the top two of their group or be in the best four, third ranked teams in all groups.
Canada Womens Soccer team will be facing Cameroon on the night of 10th June after which they will come face to face with New Zealand. Their final game of Group E will be against Netherlands, a team which is considered to be a hot favourite to win the title.
Canada will try and better the results they obtained in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup where they lost in the semi-finals to Sweden. In the match for third place, they lost to hosts USA 3-1. They finally came fourth in the World Cup of 2003. This has been the nation’s best performance in the World Cups.

Canada Womens Soccer Team Results - FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup
The 2015 Women’s Football World Cup was hosted by Canada. Being the home team, Canada Womens Soccer Team had an extra advantage and received automatic qualification for the tournament. It was placed in Group A alongside China PR, New Zealand and Netherlands.
Canada topped their group with a win and two draws. They next faced Switzerland in the round of 16. Canada marched into the quarter-finals with a score-line of 1-0.
They went face to face with England next and lost to them by a slim margin of one goal. The final score-line read 2-1 in favour of England. Canada was eliminated in the quarter finals of this World Cup.
