Carlo Ancelotti set to take charge of French moneybags PSG

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly set to hold talks about the possibility of taking over the throne at cash-rich club Paris Saint Germain by January. Despite leading the Ligue 1 currently, the PSG board is apparently not satisfied with current coach Antoine Kombouare’s performances and are keen for Ancelotti take takeover when January comes.

French daily Le Parisien claims that PSG are ready to tempt the Italian by offering him a lucrative contract, which could see him link up with Leonardo, who is currently the director of the French club. It is also rumored that the ex-Chelsea coach has given an informal word to Leonardo on the possibility of taking charge in Paris.

The French club have been impressive in the Ligue One so far, but their early dispatch from the Europa League caused massive unrest within the board members. The club had a meeting with Kombouare on Friday and it now seems that he could be set to depart from his throne come January.

PSG have also reportedly secured the deal to sign former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger, David Beckham with his LA Galaxy contract coming to an end on the 31st of December.

The 36 year-old will earn an estimated amount of €800,000 (£670,000) a month, with PSG also finding him a new home and school for his three kids.
