Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been arrested for driving even after being banned from sitting behind the wheel of a car. The Argentinian could be imprisoned for the same.
Tevez was banned from driving for six months but it didn’t seem to worry the player. He was caught in a high powered car around the town’s outskirts and was taken to Macclesfield police station immediately.
A statement from Cheshire police said: “At 5.13pm on Thursday 7 March police arrested a 29-year-old man from Alderley Edge on the A538 in Macclesfield on suspicion of driving while disqualified. He has since been released on police bail.”
Tevez was previously caught twice and appeared before the court when he failed to justify the reason for overspeeding. He not only got banned, but he was also ordered to pay fines that totalled to £1,540. His legal team had told Manchester Magistrates’ Court their client did not understand the word ‘constabulary’ on official letters from the police.
