Carlos Tevez refuses to return to England

Tevez has been at the center of immense speculation

Manchester City‘s controversial striker Carlitos Tevez has yet again upset the club hierarchy by claiming that he is fed up of traveling and will not be returning to England anytime soon. He went on to add that he wanted to join Boca Juniors in January, the club he played for before joining West Ham United.

Tevez has not played a single minute of football since the infamous incident at the Allianz Arena and has since returned to his native Argentina (where he’s been spotted playing golf), risking the wrath of his current club. He has already been fined a couple of weeks worth of wages but says it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t get paid. He told Gente magazine:

“I don’t care if I lose money. I’m tired of travelling and going back and forth. I’m not coming back to England. [I want to] go to pre-season with Boca [Juniors] and play [Copa] Libertadores with them.

Boca Juniors will be hard pressed to find the sort of cash Manchester City are looking for (somewhere in the region of £25 million). Tevez’s representative, Carlos Ruoco, has been sent to Manchester in order to facilitate a move to Boca and negotiate a reasonable offer. Roberto Mancini has claimed he will not let Tevez go out on loan and with AC Milan, Juventus and Paris St. Germain reportedly keen to snatch the 29 year old, it remains to be seen where this transfer saga takes us next.
