Carlos Tevez completed his move to Juventus from Manchester City earlier this week and the Argentine international has already taken a swipe at his former employers.
The Argentine striker believes the Italian champions’ goals to achieve success at both the domestic and at the European stage is much higher than that of the Citizens.
“The goals here are even higher because Juventus is a very strong club who want to win the Champions League. Everyone wants to win the Champions League. We are a very strong team so this is our dream,” Tevez told the Sun.
City sacked Roberto Mancini before the end of the previous season and have already appointed former Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini as the Italian’s successor at the Etihad.
After Mancini’s resignation, Tevez expressed his desire to leave the English outfit to join the Turin club.
“I spoke to Manuel and I told him about my will to come to Juventus because I thought my cycle in Manchester was over. He understood. He just wanted to understand my point of view,” the striker said.
“Juventus was the only club that made great effort to sign me and showed great interest. I made my decision as soon as I started talking to them. Italy has a great league. I’ve always had a dream to play in Italy and to play for this club,” the former Manchester United man added.
