Former Arsenal striker and potential target Carlos Vela has claimed that he is a better player than when he used to play in England.
Vela is apparently a target for Arsene Wenger who can buy him back this summer on a cheap deal. The Mexican striker came through the ranks at Arsenal but was sold to and has since impressed with Real Sociedad.
Wenger could re-sign Vela for a fee believed to be as low as £3 million and, for a player who has scored 30 goals in two seasons, that would register as a good purchase for the Frenchman.
Vela is confident that if the deal does go ahead, he will be a success at Arsenal this time around.
“If I have to return, I will do things in a different way,” he said.
“What happened in the past will not be repeated.”
However, the Mexican hopes to negotiate a deal that will benefit all parties.
“We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win – Real, Arsenal and me. We must see what can be done,” he added.
“We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy.”
