Porto visit the island of Madeira on Friday to face off with CD Nacional in the Liga Portugal, as they aim to extend their winning run in the competition to four games.
The Azuis e Brancos finished 2024 on a strong note, beating Estrela da Amadora (2-0), Moreirense (3-0) and Boavista (4-0) on the bounce.
It helped them catch up with leaders Sporting CP, as both sides are currently on 40 points, but the former sit in first position courtesy of a superior goal difference.
But with Vitor Bruno's side in action first that day, they have a chance to provisionally move to the top of the table with a win, and maintain pressure on Sporting Lisbon.

Meanwhile, Nacional are down in 15th position of the league table with 13 points, having won just thrice all season. Their third and the latest victory came on 14 December, when they pulled off a narrow 1-0 win over Moreirense courtesy of a 55th-minute goal from Jose Gomes.
The Alvinegros are currently hovering right above the relegation zone although they have identical stats as Farense, so another upset could see them slip into the bottom three.
