Torino defender Cesare Bovo's surgery on his left knee has been successful but he faces three weeks on the sidelines.
The 33-year-old had to undergo a surgery to have a meniscus -- a fibrous cartilage -- removed from his left knee and the club on Wednesday confirmed that he will have to face time on the sidelines till he recovers.
"The meniscectomy surgery to the left knee performed by Dr Renato Misischi on Cesare Bovo was a complete success," read a statement on Torino's official website.
"The prognosis is for around three weeks."
The former Palermo man has been an important figure for Toro this season, scoring twice in 15 appearances for the club.
