Cesc Fabregas to FC Barcelona is Now Official.

Awaiting the official fax from Arsenal FC, the signing of Cesc Fabregas by FC Barcelona is a done deal. In fact this Spanish Football summer story ends as Barça Football players & friends Pique & Puyol “spilled the beans” on their “twitter” accounts this morning before the Clubs have made it official. The deal is a bit “freaky” but the English Club has accepted: 40M€ transfer fee broken up as 29M€ in cash, 6 M€ in “variables” and 5M€ that the player rejects from is 15% share of any transfer.

Spanish Football press say the player will fly into Barcelona on Sunday to pass the medical check and then be presented to media on Monday. As mentioned already none of the Clubs involved have made an official statement yet but it is a matter of hours as the technical – paperwork details get sorted out.

This hopefully will be the last stop on this long and tired saga, and more will be viewed in the future on how Cesc Fabregas performs at his new Club. From here we welcome Cesc back, wish him lots of luck and hope that he has made the correct decision.
