Chamakh completes loan move to West Ham

BLACKBURN, ENGLAND - AUGUST 28: Maroune Chamakh of Arsenal in action during the Barclays Premier League match between Blackburn Rovers and Arsenal at Ewood Park on August 28, 2010 in Blackburn, England.

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has completed a six month loan deal to London club West Ham which is set to keep him there for the rest of the season. Chamakh has rarely featured for Arsenal this season in the league and will be happy with the move which will offer him some much needed first-team football.

The Moroccan joined Arsenal from Bordeaux (France) in 2010 on a free transfer and has since managed 40 league starts for the Premier League giants, scoring eight goals. He made his first start of the season against Reading in a Carling Cup match and scored two goals, helping Arsenal beat Reading 7-5. Chamakh started his career brightly but then stuttered and never really recovered from the slip in form.
