Real Betis possibly got the best bargain of the summer when they signed Cedrick Mabwati for a fee of just £1.
Cedrick Mabwati spent his youth career at Atletico Madrid, and also represented the club at the senior level before moving permanently to Numancia.
Mabwati’s contract had a clause that allowed him to move to a Primera Liga side for the small fee, if any club showed interest in him.
“Here (in Numancia) I’ve learned to fight, not to give up,” Mabwati said after completing his move to Betis. “Now I’m going to play in a more competitive league, more hard.”
