Petr Cech (1): Had very little to do against a Swansea side that only managed a single shot on target
Branislav Ivanovic (46): Won an imperious nine of the 11 headed duels that he contested.
David Luiz (18): Provided five clearances and four interceptions, as well as finding the time to complete a take on and pop up at the other end with a shot on goal.
John Terry (43): Made six clearances and won three headed duels, but made only 76% of his passes – far below his season average of 90%.
Ashley Cole (26): Had very little to do defensively, but provided the assist for Eden Hazard’s winning goal on his first league start since early November.
John Obi Mikel (40): Helped to successfully snuff out Swansea as an attacking threat with 7 interceptions.
Ramires (-23): Picked up a silly yellow card late on that ensures that he will miss the crucial weekend fixture against Liverpool
Oscar (6): Put five crosses and two corners into the Swansea box.
Juan Mata (41): Made 21 of his 23 attempted passes, including two key passes.
Eden Hazard (58): His goal came from one of three attempts on goal, on a day that he successfully went past his man on five occasions.
Samuel Eto’o (37): Took four shots on goal, drawing saves with two of them.
Substitutes:
Frank Lampard (12): Almost rolled back the years with a trademark effort from just outside the box that Tremmel did well to save.
Andre Schürrle (-2): Only on long enough to complete three passes, but did complete a take on during a Chelsea breakaway.
Willian (-2): The Brazilian was involved twice in his eight minutes on the pitch, making one pass and losing a headed duel.
Swansea City:
Gerhard Tremmel (17): Saw it late, but perhaps could have done better with Hazard’s opener.
Angel Rangel (17): The Spaniard made 8 interceptions from his right-back berth.
Jordi Amat (6): Made six clearances but won only one of three attempted tackles.
Neil Taylor (18): Was bullied in the air by Branislav Ivanovic, losing all four of the headed duels that he contested against the Serb. However he did make 93% of his passes, and eventually won an aerial duel against Willian.
Ashley Williams (34): Leading by example the Swans captain made 14 clearances.
Jose Cañas (-4): Completed just 77% of his attempted passes, his lowest percentage of the season.
Leon Britton (42): The central midfielder completed 52 passes, the most of any player on the pitch.
Alex Pozuelo (-23): The worst player on the pitch in the first half by Squawka Performance Score, the youngster made only one of his four attempts at a tackle before being withdrawn at half time.
Jonjo Shelvey (-13): Took three attempts at goal, missing the target with all three.
Wayne Routledge (-6): Completed two of four attempted take ons.
Alvaro (-2): The Swansea forward cut a frustrated figure at times, but did manage to produce their only shot on target. Scant consolation on what was a poor day for the Spaniard.
Substitutes:
Pablo Hernández (-12): Couldn’t change Swansea’s fortunes after his half time introduction, failing to complete a take on or put a successful cross into the box.
Jonathan De Guzmán (23): De Guzman was tidy in possession, misplacing only two of his 23 attempted passes.
Wilfried Bony (-5): Despite his height, Bony lost all three of the aerial duels that he challenged for.
